Here are definitions of some commomly used South Dakotan Phrasology

dowgy- a small cow used fer ropin'- also, the family pet.

yondur- way over there.

ropin'- tyin' up a dowgy- also, a lynchin'- a commonly used, albeit disturbed form of community entertainment.

west- anyplace west of South Dakota, not including, of course, South Dakota.

dip- a bunch of tobacco stuck between the teeth and the bottom lip- also, skinnydipping in the Missouri, being very carefull to stay on the Western half.

cowboy- a South Dakotan.
